Bollywood actor John Abraham said he was initially apprehensive to ask his co-star Sonakshi Sinha to do action sequences in their upcoming film “Force 2”.
In the second installment of “Force”, an action drama, John and Sonakshi will be seen doing some heavy duty daredevil scenes.
“There was a scene where I and Sonakshi had to jump… and it was just second day of shoot. I was thinking should I tell her we have to jump… bluehost I was actually worried thinking what if she calls her dad (Shatrughan Sinha),” John told reporters here at the song launch event of “Force 2”.
But the actor was happy to see that Sonakshi was very comfortable in the action scenes.
“She was like OK. Then I felt she was comfortable doing action sequences. It felt great to see her do action,” he said.
The 43-year-old actor said he gets impressed when he sees actresses doing action.
“There is not enough action for heroines in films. We usually like to see them dancing most of the time,” he said.
The song “Lal Rang” was launched in presence of lead actors John, Sonakshi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, director Abhinay Deo, producer Vipul Shah and Ajit Andhare of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
John said it was Abhinay’s idea to give the actor’s voice-over for the anthem song of “Force 2”.
“Lal Rang” salutes India’s unsung martyrs and for the first time ever John has lent his voice to a track.
“I had tears in my eyes while singing it. I also had anger while doing the song. It was a voice over but the experience was fantastic,” John said.
The film, a sequel to the 2011 hit “Force”, is due to release on November 18.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt says she had a good experience playing a DJ in Karan Johar’s upcoming film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”.
The “Udta Punjab” star will be seen in a cameo in the romantic-drama. This is the second time she has worked in Johar’s directorial project, after her debut film “Student of the Year”.
When asked about her role, Alia told reporters, “I’ve already been that (DJ, in the film). I hope it feels better to watch on screen. It was a very nice experience, getting to work second time with Karan. It was really good.”

From making a promising debut with “Band Baaja Baaraat” to giving a critically-acclaimed performance in “Bajirao Mastani”, Ranveer Singh has shown tremendous growth as an actor, but according to the star himself, he has finally descontructed his learning of the craft.
The 31-year-old star says, in his initial days, he felt he knew it all, but now feels like he is just a beginner.
“The more films I do, the more I understand that I don’t know anything. Every time I go on a set, I feel as if I have forgotten everything.
“When I started (with) ‘Band Baaja Baraat’, I thought I knew everything and I was the best actor in the world. But it’s happening in reverse now,” Ranveer told PTI in an interview.
The actor says he has now become a student of the craft.
“These days when I do films, I feel I don’t know anything. I have understood that this craft is limitless and the possibilities in the realm of acting are limitless and I am hoping to explore them more.”
Ranveer, who will next be seen in Aditya Chopra’s directorial venture “Befikre,” whose trailer was launched here at the Eiffel Tower, says he considers himself fortunate to get some great opportunities, which contribute in his growth.
“I used to be a very different kind of actor, I am not that actor anymore and not that person anymore. I have changed a lot as an actor and as a person. I have grown for good.

Malini, however, had tried to play safe on the issue yesterday, saying, “As an artiste, I appreciate their work but I don’t want to comment on whether they should live here or leave this country.
“Artistes are artistes whether they are from Pakistan or India. But it is unfortunate that they are from Pakistan. I must say that they are good artistes. They have performed well here in India,” she had said.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan says artistes from Pakistan should not be treated like terrorists and art and terrorism should not be mixed.
The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association passed a resolution Friday to ban Pakistani actors from the industry in the wake of the Uri attack.
The resolution came after Indian Army announced that seven terror launch pads were targeted across the LoC by special forces during a ‘surgical strike’.
“Pakistani artistes are just artistes and not terrorists.
Terrorism and art are two different subjects. They come with proper visa and the government gives them a work permit.” Salman said, when asked about his take on banning the actors from Pakistan.
The actor said the action (surgical strike) taken by the Indian Army is proper as it was against terrorism, but he would prefer to have a situation of peace and harmony.
“Ideal situation should have been that of peace. But, now a reaction to an action has happened. It was a proper action as they were terrorists. But still in this day and age, I think if we lived in peace an harmony it would have been better for everyone and especially for common people,” he said while speaking at the launch of his jwellery range for Being Human.
Last week, Raj Thackeray-led MNS issued an ultimatum to Pakistani artistes and actors including Fawad Khan, who is part of one of the productions under Salman’s banner, and Ali Zafar, to leave India by September 25 or else they would be “pushed out”.

Leading Indian actress Deepika Padukone has made her debut among the world’s top 10 highest paid actresses with earnings of USD 10 million dollars in a list alongside Hollywood heavyweights Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts and “Friends” star Jennifer Anniston.
Padukone, 30, is the only Indian actress and the sole newcomer in Forbes’ 2016 list of the ‘World’s Highest-Paid Actresses’, coming in on the 10th spot.
Forbes said Padukone has “scored box office gold” in Bollywood movies such as “Bajirao Mastani” and “Piku”.
While she earns less than her Hollywood counterparts for roles, Padukone “compensates with over a dozen lucrative endorsements”, which “have helped her hedge against a deep pay gap in Bollywood”.
The list shows her with earnings of USD 10 million.
Forbes said the Bangalore-bred Padukone, who made her Bollywood film debut in 2007 with Shahrukh Khan-starrer “Om Shanti Om”, has “since starred in several films that have crossed the USD 150 million or 100 crore mark a barometer for box office success in India”.
Padukone “has also become something of a style icon” launching her own label for an Indian online shopping site.
Making her Hollywood debut along “Fast and Furious” star Vin Diesel, she will be seen in 2017 in “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”.
Noting the gender pay gap in the Indian movie industry, “a discrepancy not uncommon in Hollywood” also, Forbes said though a top Indian male star might earn close to USD 5 million a movie, prominent Indian actresses rarely clear USD 1 million a film.
For the second year in a row, Oscar-winning “Hunger Games” actress Lawrence topped the list of the world’s highest-paid actresses, notching USD 46 million.
“Ghostbusters” starrer Melissa McCarthy is ranked second with earnings of USD 33 million.
The list includes “The Horse Whisperer”-starrer Scarlett Johansson on the third spot, Anniston on the 4th place followed by Chinese actress Fan Bingbing (5), Oscar-nominee Amy Adams (7) and “Pretty Woman”-starrer Roberts (8).
Forbes added that in an industry where a pay gap with male actors still exists, 90 per cent of the world’s highest- paid actresses supplement their on-screen earnings with endorsements.
Together, the world’s 10 highest-paid actresses tallied a combined USD 205 million between June 2015 and 2016, before fees and taxes.
“Though these select actresses earn more than most could dream of, their movie money is but a fraction of what many of their male counterparts pocket. While top actresses can negotiate eight figure upfront fees plus a cut of profits for leading parts in big budget movies, there are simply fewer of those roles available for women,” Forbes said.
It also noted that for women, the movie business is “notoriously ageist” but with “box office clout”, some of the highest-paid actresses have manoeuvred themselves into positions of economic power.
