Melbourne: The secret behind Kim Kardashian’s latest Paper Magazine winter issue nude cover-shot, which has sent social media into meme frenzy, was recently revealed.
The 34-year-old star was photographed by French photographer Jean-Paul Goude, and the images are homage to some of his 1970s photographs of black women, News.com.au reported.
One image includes Kardashian popping Champagne over her shoulders into a glass resting on her ample rump, a recreation of Goude’s 1976 image “Carolina Beaumont, New York.” In the Kardashian’s shot, the Champagne brand was deliberately covered, because none would lend their name to it.
Kardashian posed fully nude for reclusive fashion photographer Goude at a secret location in Paris in September. The magazine included the cover line “Break the internet Kim Kardashian,” which indeed she has.
Los Angeles: Supermodel Miranda Kerr, who has posed topless for a magazine cover, says she likes being naked.
In the cover photo of Harper’s Bazaar, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel sports a black over-sized hat and black high-waisted pants with her arms crossed over.
“I love taking my shoes off and being in the grass. Or sunbaking naked. I wish I could go skinny-dipping in the ocean. If I didn’t have to worry about anyone taking my picture, I’d totally be out there,” she said.
Kerr, 31, who separated from his husband Orlando Bloom in 2013, says dating is currently not her priority.
“I’ll go on a date here and there if it works. But at this point my priority is my son. I’m not looking for a relationship. I’m just not.”
Cinema superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan shared stage to pay tribute to music maestro Ilaiyaraaja at the audio launch of R. Balki’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Shamitabh’.
’Shamitabh’ stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara, who is making her Bollywood debut.
“We all heard about his music and legendary fan following… We have all heard how his name sold movies. We all heard his name is close to the God in the world of music. We all are here to pay tribute to the divine musician of cinema,” Bachchan added.
When Bachchan asked Rajinikanth about his experiences of working with the legendary composer, he shared, “I know Raaja sir from early ‘70s. He was very naughty and mischievous person at that time. We both used to gossip and used to have our drinks together till morning. And suddenly, I saw a transformation in Raaja sir which extended to his dressing style. And then I started calling him Raaja swami. He is a saint now and mata Saraswati lives in him.”
Kamal Haasan, who has worked with Ilaiyaraaja in several films, said, “Out of his 1000 films, 10 per cent are mine. He created the songs but we own it. After the transformation I started calling him my brother. And today after 40 years for the first time I hugged him. I knew that he would have reached 1000 one day.”
Refuting the rumours of ‘Shamitabh’ being the 1000th music composition of the 71-year-old musician, Balki said, “Let me clarify one thing, ‘Shamitabh’ is not Ilaiyaraaja’s 1000th film. He will reach the milestone with Bala’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Tharai Thappattai’. We are here to celebrate that…1000 is just a number. We don’t need any excuse to celebrate Raaja sir.”
The evening also witnessed performances by Big B, Dhanush along with singer Shreya Ghoshal and Suraj Jagan.
“I am thankful to Rajini sir that he came for this function. When I signed ‘Shamitabh’ I never expected that something like this will happen in my career,” Dhanush said.
The event was also attended by eminent personalities like Sridevi, husband Boney Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Gulzar, Tabu, Abhishek and wife Aishwariya Rai Bachchan.

Meghna Gulzar was maintaining a low-key about her project “Nyoda”, a film on the sensational murder case of Aarushi Talwar. Recent reports suggest that the filmmaker has received a green signal from the parents of the assassinated girl, Dr Nupur and Dr Rajesh Talwar who are now in prison.
“Nyoda” which was initially named “Talwar” is a storyteller about the life of Aarushi Talwar, the girl who’s murder case shook the whole nation. The topic being sensitive, Meghna Gulzar has maintained the secrecy level regarding the same.
Unlike other movies that were in the process of being made, “Nyoda” will narrate the story of the case from the parent’s perspective. An insider stated, “The film actually builds a defence case for the parents. Yes, the murder and the consequent investigation are narrated entirely from the parents’ point of view in Meghna Gulzar‘s film.”

All the research required to pertain Nupur and Rajesh Talwar’s point of view, was apparently provided by the deceased girl’s aunt Vandana Talwar. Vandana Talwar is currently campaigning to prove the parent’s innocence.
Aarushi murder case was one of India’s biggest whodunit. The 14-year-old girl was found murdered in her flat in May, 2008. Media hoax and different speculations about the case made Aarushi a household name. Aarushi’s parents Nupur and Rajesh Talwar have been sentenced for life for murdering their daughter. Though, Talwar supporters have put a petition in court saying the couple was framed by the police due to lack of evidence.
Earlier, a film directed by Manish Gupta named “Rahasya” was to be released in 2014. The film is based on the Aarushi murder case as well and was reportedly facing troubles with the release date. According to sources it is to be released this year on January 30. The film stars Kay Kay Menon, Tisca Chopra, Mita Vashisht and Ashwini Kalsekar in key roles.
In Meghna Gulzar’s “Nyoda”, Konkona Sen Sharma and Sohum Shah play Aarushi‘s parents, Tabu plays Aarushi‘s aunt and Irrfan Khan plays the officer investigating the case.

Director: Bushan Patel
Cast: Bipasha Basu, Karan Singh Grover
Bhushan Patel’s ‘Alone’, the latest addition to Bipasha Basu’s growing body of ‘horror’ work, presses every available button to rake up the dark past in ways that are both gruesome and intriguing, but it cannot shrug off the sheer banality of the genre.
Bipasha, the high priestess of Bollywood horror, does her bit by plunging into her double role with customary enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, Alone is neither original in terms of substance nor does it come up with any strikingly new methods to evoke fear.
It rips off the storyline of the 2007 Thai horror film, ‘Fad’ (meaning Twins), in which two conjoined twins are separated from each other amid destructive envy, distrust and violence when a handsome man falls in love with one of them and arouses the jealousy of the other.
Bhushan Patel already has two successful genre films ’Ragini MMS 2′ and ‘1920: Evil Returns’ under his belt. His experience of the horror domain is both good and bad for ‘Alone’.
On one hand he knows exactly how to employ light, shadow, camera angles and sound effects to create an ambience of dread and foreboding. He puts some of that expertise to good use here, at least in parts.
On the other, the approaches that Patel uses border on the hackneyed and repetitive as a result of the fact that he is working primarily with tropes stored in his directorial memory.
At the outset of ‘Alone’, a happily married couple, Sanjana (Bipasha Basu) and Kabir (Karan Singh Grover), arrive at the woman’s childhood home after her mother meets with an accident. There, an apparition, a mirror image of the heroine, begins to hound Sanjana and the man she loves.
It turns out to be the spirit of her twin, Anjana, who died years ago when the girls were surgically separated.
‘Alone’ is a love triangle that moves back and forth between the present and the past, but the intrigue of the tale wears off rather quickly because the shocks that it delivers acquire a predictable rhythm.
Television actor Karan Singh Grover is given enough opportunities to scorch the screen in the company of the sultry Bipasha.
The controversy over the clearance to the film ‘Messenger of God’ snowballed today with another censor board member resigning in support of its Chairperson Leela Samson as government rejected allegations of “coercion” and “interference” in its functioning.
A high alert has been sounded in Punjab and Haryana as protests were staged in Haryana and Delhi against the proposed release of the movie on Sunday.
The controversial Dera Saccha Sauda sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, on whom the movie is based, claimed at a press conference in Gurgaon in Haryana where it was to be premiered today (rpt) to be premiered today, that it does not target any religious section.
“I have clearly said that I am just human. The acts portrayed in the movie are simply stunts,” he said in an apparent rejection of criticism from Sikh groups that he was portraying himself as God and Sikh Guru.
About the release on January 18, he said, “we have not finalised anything. There are still meetings going on about the possibility of releasing within such a short time.”
The clearance by the Appellate Film Certification Tribunal created turbulence in Delhi when Ira Bhaskar, a member of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), decided to resign in solidarity with Samson, who quit last night.
Samson had resigned after learning that the Tribunal had cleared the movie for release even though the CBFC had withheld it.
“I have decided to resign. My resignation has to do with Leelaji’s decision to step down. We were working together and as a group we had discussed resigning earler. But we held on as she attempted to help the Ministry in running the Board,” Bhaskar said.
“But things were clearly not in order. There was no meeting in the past one year though it was mandatory for board members to meet every three months. The last meeting was in January 2014. The censor board CEO said there were no funds to hold the meetings so the board is clearly not required,” she told PTI.
