Priyanka Chopra has been a busy woman these days. In the past couple of months she has been juggling between the shoots of Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal 2, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and ABC’s international TV show Quantico. All the three have her speaking three different accents. So how does she manage it?

“Takes me three days to say Counter Terrorism Taskforce in an American accent! Back to Kashibai soon too! I’m gonna have a BRO-mulgi Accent soon!,” Priyanka tweeted on Thursday. It’s true that managing such diverse characters definitely allows an actor to follow diverse speaking accents and PC is someone who definitely can master anything.

Priyanka portrays Kashibai, the first wife of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao in Bajirao Mastani. She portrays an FBI agent in Quantico. Finally she plays the character of a police woman in Gangaajal 2. We are eagerly awaiting to watch all three, just to check out the actress’ brilliant performances. Bhaag Johnny will launch its first song today, Daddy Mummy, picturised on lead actor Kunal Kemmu and the sizzling Urvashi Rautela. What makes the film team upbeat about this number is that it is a Hindi version of a Tamil chartbuster created by Devi Sri Prasad that went viral.

Sensing the potential of this South Indian hit number, Bollywood producer and music baron Bhushan Kumar, producer of Bhaag Johnny, acquired the rights for his Shivam Nair-directed movie that also features Zoa Morani and Mandana Karimi.

Urvashi attributes bagging the song to her good equation with the producers. “I’ve previously worked with them for the song ‘Love Dose’, and I also have a three-film deal with them. When I heard that Gifty will be at the helm, I knew I had to do it. More so after all the praise I had heard about him from Honey while shooting ‘Love Dose’,” says Urvashi, who describes the ‘Daddy Mummy’ number as super-hot. The actress, who is trained in various dance forms — bharatnatyam, kathak, jazz, ballet and belly dancing — says the film producers were aware of her dancing skills and they wanted someone who they felt would do justice to the moves. “It’s a hardcore dance number, requiring high energy and at the same time, it is very stylised,” enthuses Urvashi, who borrowed inspiration from Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry for her look in this sultry number.

Interestingly, they didn’t really rehearse until the day of shoot. This helped Kunal and her to be a lot more spontaneous. Besides performing hardcore moves, Urvashi says she also gave choreography inputs for the song that was shot in just one-and-a-half days. “It’s a proper Gifty track in every sense,” she says. About working with Kunal, she says, “It was good working with Kunal though our interaction was limited to just a couple of days when the actual shoot was taking place.”

Well Alia, your hard work has surely paid off! This isn’t the first time the beauty has sported a bikini though. The actress wore one in her debut film Student Of The Year. That one was bright yellow in colour and Alia wore the two piece with a sarong.

In SOTY, the actress was seen stepping out of the water in her bright yellow bikini and her stint floored many. In Shaandaar, the beauty comes across as much more confident than before, as she strolled causally in her pink two piece. We definitely think Alia’s latter form is more ‘shaandaar’ than the former.

He is very sorted and knows his mind clearly. And he tells them, ‘I would like your daughter’s hand in marriage.’ But I wanted some time. So with their permission we started to get to know each other.”

And now that they are finally ready to take their relationship to the next level, Asin officially announces her wedding date stating, “Rahul and I have been together for almost four years . I will get married by the end of this year.”

Actress Kavita Radheshyam plays an investigative journalist in upcoming multilingual film “Amma”. She says her role is inspired by well known television journalist Barkha Dutt.

“My role is inspired by Barkha Dutt. This role is quite similar to that of Rani Mukerji‘s role from the movie No One Killed Jessica. She’s a woman who will go to any extent to help the character of Jaya (played by Ragini Dwivedi),” Kavita told IANS.
“The film draws many incidents from real life and I’m honoured to share screen space with a star like Ragini,” she said.

Directed by Faisal Saif, the film also features Prasant Narayanan, Pooja Misrra and Anjjan Srivestav in important roles. Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav plays the main antagonist.

Produced by C.R. Manohar, the film will release in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu worldwide in October.

New Delhi, Aug 10 (PTI) Films from Singapore are set to be screened here in a festival, which marks Singapore’s 50th birthday and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore.

The event has been themed on “Stories from the Heartland”.

Heartland is a commonly used term in Singapore to refer to the towns and neighbourhoods where people live, gather and play.

The festival is being organised on August 13, August 14 and August 16 in partnership with the Directorate of Film Festivals and aims to present another side of the popular tourist and business destination, a futuristic city state in the tropics, according to a statement by the organisers.

Lim Thuan Kuan High Commissioner of Singapore to India said in a statement, “The first Singapore Film Festival in New Delhi was held in 2012. This time, the festival is back ? bigger and better. We have lined up a range of films which have gained recognition internationally and in the region.”

Seven films ? both feature and shorts ? by Singapore filmmakers would be screened.

“Covering a range of themes such as migration, family and art, they promise to intrigue, entertain, and inspire.

Audiences will also get the chance to get up close and personal with some of the filmmakers, who will be holding post-screening workshops,” Kuan said.

Workshops and post-screening dialogues with filmmakers Boo Junfeng, Sun Koh and Jow Zhi Wei, who are set to travel here for the festival are also scheduled. .
