Members of a right-wing group allegedly vandalised the office of Pakistan International Airlines today near Barakhamba Road here.
The incident took place around noon following which police were informed and a team was rushed to the spot, said a police official.

Kolkata: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan revisited the times of watching football matches with his parents as he joined in a group of children to play the game at the Mohammedan Sporting ground.
Bachchan, 73, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film “TE3N” here, was seen playing football during the shooting of the movie.
“And earlier in the day… My weak efforts at football during the shooting… Nostalgic in a way… For these were the football grounds of the major clubs when I visited Calcutta on a private visit with my parents in 1960… That we came to watch football games… Mohan Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting, East Bengal et al…,” he wrote on his blog.
The “Piku” star recently hurt his rib cage while shooting but he has continued fulfilling his professional commitments.
“TE3N”, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, features megastar Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan.
Actor Akshay Kumar says he is keen to star in a woman-centric film with his “Airlift” co-star Nimrat Kaur.
Female-centric films in Bollywood usually have top actress while the male lead is played by newcomers or relatively lesser known faces.
“I just remembered that there is one script, I wanted to make it, it’s a woman (related) thing. I was just looking at her (Nimrat) and I thought ‘I have to ask her about this’,” Akshay said in an interview.
The “Baby” actor feels it all boils down to the content and is not about male or female-centric roles.
“I did a film called ‘Aitraaz’, it was a film which belonged to Kareena and Priyanka. A film has to be a hit, has to be appreciated, it doesn’t matter how much is my role.”

Nimrat feels there is no “pre-convinced” notion among male actors to not be a part of women-oriented films.
“When it’s women-centric, if you need a superstar to star for commercial reasons, they will join in. In the same way, if in a male-centric film you need the presence of a female superstar that also happens.”
“I don’t think people have a pre-conceived notion that if it’s a women-centric film, then we will not do it,” she said.

Nimrat, who made her Bollywood debut in Irrfan Khan-starrer “The Lunchbox” will be next seen in director Raja Krishna Menon’s “Airlift”.
The actress says after being part of films of two diverse genres, she now wants to try her hands on comedy.

“Now, I would love to do something light, something fun. May be a comedy. I would love to do a comedy next.”
To which, Akshay, who is hailed as the king of comedy, suggested, “You can be a part of Houseful 4…”
The “Brothers” actor, who has been part of the highly successful “Houseful” franchise, will be seen in “Houseful 3”.
Akshay said the film was a change for him after a string of socially relevant films.
“Yes it was a change. It was a very essential thing for me because I did ‘Baby’ and ‘Gabbar’ and ‘Airlift’.”
Directed by Sajid-Farhad, the comedy also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Riteish Deshmukh and Lisa Haydon.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met the families of the security personnel and
taxi driver gunned downed by terrorists in Pathankot and announced a compensation of Rs two lakh each to their next of kin.
The AAP leader held a meeting with the families of Havildar Kulwant Singh, Honorary Capt Fateh Singh and taxi driver Ikagar Singh Kulwant and Fateh, who belonged to Chak Sharif village and Jhanda Gujjran village, in Gurdaspur district, laid down their lives fighting terrorists who had attacked the Pathankot Air Base.
Taxi driver Ikagar Singh was killed by terrorists, a day before the militants attacked the Air Force base.Ikagar Singh was native of Bhagwal village in Pathankot.
Kejriwal announced a compensation of Rs two lakh each on behalf of the party to the next of kin of three deceased.
Extending his condolences to the family members, he said, “It was a big loss…today we can sleep at our homes with peace as our soldiers protect the frontiers. The martyrs have done a great job to protect the prime Pathankot Air Base which was struck by terrorists”.
“They fought for the country,” he said, adding the “entire country is proud of them”. Kejriwal, whose party is eyeing to wrest power in the 2017 assembly polls in Punjab, is scheduled to address a
political conference on the occasion of Maghi Mela in Muktsar tomorrow.
He will spend the night in Bathinda district today, a party spokesman said.Senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Such Singh Chhotepur, Ashutosh and H S Phoolka accompanied Kejriwal during his meeting with the families.
AAP is aiming to “repeat the historic win of Delhi polls in Punjab”. The party did well in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls in Punjab, winning four of the 13 seats.
Kejriwal had earlier visited Punjab in October when the state was hit by protests due to incidents of sacrilege.
Mumbai: Markets ended in the red for the second straight week due to persistent selling pressure from operators and investors following uncertainty over Bihar Assembly election results coupled with disappointing quarterly earnings by blue-chips. Persistent foreign capital outflows, sustained fall in the value of rupee against the dollar also led to fall in share values. Investors refused to play ball as they digested US Fed Chair Janet Yellen’s announcement on Wednesday that a December rate hike is very much on the table as the economy has performed well. Shares of Healthcare, Capital Goods, Metal, Power, Realty and Banking sectors fell sharply due to heavy selling pressure.
The Sensex resumed lower at 26,641.69 and hovered in a range of 26,824.30 and 26,190.18 before closing at more than 5-week low at 26,265.24, showing a loss of 391.59 points or 1.47 per cent. It had last ended at 26,220.95 on October 1, 2015. The Sensex dropped by 1,205.57 points or 4.39 per cent in two weeks. The CNX 50-share Nifty also ended lower by 111.50 points or 1.38 per cent to more than 5-week low of 7,954.30. It had last ended at 7,950.90 on October 1, 2015. It has also dropped by 341.15 points or 4.11 per cent in two weeks.
“Market players remained glued to the developments in Bihar elections, which markets believe may be a catalyst to the investment mood of FPIs and FIIs in the near term,” said Hiren Dhakan, Associate Fund manager, Bonanza Portfolio Ltd.
Forex
The Indian rupee continued to fall against the American currency for the fourth straight week, dropping by 49 paise to close at nearly sixth week low at 65.76 per dollar on sustained dollar demand from banks and importers amidst continued fall in equity market. Persistent foreign capital outflows also affected the rupee value against the dollar, a forex dealer said. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) continued their selling pressure as they sold shares of net worth Rs 1,085.07 crores during the week as per the SEBI’s record, including the provisional figure of November 6.
The domestic currency resumed the week lower at 65.39 per dollar as against last weekend’s level of 65.27 at the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market and dropped further to 65.84 before closing at nearly sixth week low at 65.76 per dollar, showing a loss of 49 paise or 0.75 per cent. The rupee has tumbled by 102 paise or 1.58 per cent in four weeks.It had last ended at 65.96 on September 29, 2015. Globally, the euro finished the week just above a six month low reached after a blockbuster October jobs report.
The dollar rose against the euro and the yen as the US government bond yields rose to their highest levels in nearly seven weeks as investors have been lightening up on their bond holdings following the Fed’s signal a week ago that a rate increase before the end of this year remains on the table. The ICE US dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six currencies, was up 2.4 per cent to end the week at 99.1900, just below a six-month high.
In forward market, the premium for dollars recovered on paying pressure from banks and corporates. Forward dollar premium payable in April rose to 203-205 from last weekend’s level of 173-175 paise and far-forward contract maturing in October 2016 also moved up to 410-412 paise from 388-390 paise previously.
The RBI fixed the reference rate for the dollar at 65.7910 and the Euro at 71.5477 from last weekend’s level of 65.2231 and 71.6671 respectively. The rupee climbed against the pound to finish the week at 99.51 from last weekend’s level of 100.22 and strengthened further against the euro to 71.51 from 71.87 previously. The domestic unit also rose against the Japanese currency to close at 53.94 per 100 yen from last weekend’s level of 54.19.
