Navaratri begins with festivities

Navaratri the well known festival of Goddess Durga is celebrated for nine days. Among them to bring the night life alive is the Dandiya dance. The streets and local clubs have organized their own programs depending on the status of the society. It is indeed very lively these seven days and encouraging to see the youth fully engrossed to the festival. In spite of digital India on the rise the culture remains intact in Mumbai. It is a big lesson to the smaller cities where the influence of westernization has crossed all limits.

However security has been beefed up and the sound levels controlled. The time limit in most of the localities is 11 pm.
