Maharashtra to give permissions to film-makers in one day

The Maharashtra government has announced that it will provide permissions to those making feature films and short films in the state within a single day. The application process is also being moved online. A Film City will also be developed as a tourism zone by the state.

Culture Minister Vinod Tawde has also announced that a Film City and a Bollywood Museum would be built on a PPP basis. The state also plans to develop Maharashtra as an international film-shooting destination. It is likely to sign an memorandum of understanding with the Toronto Film Commission in this connection, he said.
