Sharad Kumar,a graduate of St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling has made his country proud by bagging gold at the Asian Para Games ,2014 held in Incheon, South Korea. Unstoppable,he’s reappearing for the Paralympics 2016 to be held in Rio.
Sharad has been disabled since birth by polio in his left leg and has been a fighter ever since.From being physically impaired to the world champion his journey is a story of determination, courage and success. From facing the hardships of a boarding school, learning to use his disability to his prime advantage to having been elevated to such a coveted position theres an immeasureable amount of hardwork, determination and grit behind the scenes.
He’s currently training for the upcoming Paralympics and is all set to once again make the country proud.
Let’s support and encourage such heroism. Let’s support a true hero of India so that he can once again bring pride and glory to the nation.
